Doctor allegedly finds baggie of drugs in suspect's belly button

A man who was arrested by San Francisco police on a no-bail warrant was hospitalized Tuesday after a large baggie of methamphetamine was found stuffed in his belly button, police said.

A Bayview Station cop brought the suspect to San Francisco General Hospital at about 6:50 a.m., saying he needed medical treatment before being booked into jail.

During the medical exam, a doctor pulled out a baggie from his umbilicus containing 4.8 grams of methamphetamine, police at Bayview Station said.

“It is unknown how the suspect managed to stuff such a large amount of narcotics into his belly button,” police said.

The doctor handed the evidence to the cop and a narcotics charge was added to the warrant upon the suspect’s booking, police said.
