DNC cash pump in Massachusetts special election tops $1 million

The Hill's Emily Cadei is reporting that the DNC's commitment to Martha Coakley's effort has now topped $1 million.

That's big money for the DNC, which, despite $13.7 million cash on hand, has a lot to contend with this fall. While relatively cash-poor Republicans made the move to pour big money into Bob McDonnell's runaway win in Virginia in November, perhaps hoping to pad the margin of victory and pick up down ballot races, Democrats seem to be acting out of a genuine sense of worry.
