Disney playing it cool with horror movie filmed at theme park

Well this is cool, someone surreptitiously filmed a horror movie at Disneyland called “Escape from Tomorrow.” The Randy Moore film first debuted at Sundance and depicts fun things like Disney characters crushing children and princesses depicted as “high-class prostitutes.”

Moore used hand-held cameras and scripts on iPhones to blend in with the rest of the park revelers. But The Hollywood Reporter is wondering why the famously litigious Disney Co. isn’t suing, especially since the poster for the movie is of Mickey Mouse’s chubby, gloved hand dripping with blood.

“The strategy is to avoid giving ’Tomorrow’ a bigger box office,” says a studio source.

The hands-off approach could backfire, though, once the idea that this is “The Movie Disney Doesn’t Want You To See!” goes viral.

“Escape from Tomorrow” opens Oct. 11.
