The notoriously secretive dance duo Tiger & Woods is playing a live set on the rooftop of the W Hotel in San Francisco on Saturday.

Last summer, the pair — who won’t reveal their identities — popped onto the electronic music scene with the debut album “Through the Green.” The fun jaunt through disco-house loops and classic-sounding boogie offered instant club hits.

Known by their leopard logo, Tiger & Woods give few interviews and wear matching outfits onstage. Fans and photographers respect their anonymity and refrain from taking pictures of their faces at live events.

Jeremy Bispo, founder of As You Like It, the event production company putting on Saturday’s show, says, “The anonymity is a shared known among peers.”

Bispo has come to know the DJs after booking their first San Francisco show in October. “It wasn’t until I met them that I really grasped who they were," he says, "and what they’ve done."

Bispo says the music sounds much faster live than on recordings. Onstage, the producers play reworked versions — or re-edits — which are more “fresh sounding” live.

“It really is a high-energy act,” says Bispo, who noticed “so many smiles on the dance floor.”

The smile factor was what inspired the promoter to book the act again. “[Tiger & Woods] are one of the reasons why I like promoting disco or house," he says. "It’s music to make people forget the seriousness of their day-to-day lives.”

Light, upbeat music coupled with the posh W Hotel setting strikes a good balance for Bispo: “That’s what brings them [Tiger & Woods] into this event for me.”
