Dems will 'work with' GOP to cut spending. They've also sell us the Brooklyn Bridge

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi stood on the House floor this week and repeated the Democratic mantra that she and members of her party "will work with Republicans on legislation that will create jobs, that will strengthen the middle class and that will reduce the deficit."

Similar statements have been flung around for weeks now by President Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and virtually every other congressional Democrat with a pulse and a listening TV anchor or newspaper reporter.

But the reality of their concrete actions and the fiscal fruits thereof are becoming so blindingly clear that their words long since ceased being merely ludicrous; such claims are now passing into the realms of purposeful deception or willful ignorance.

Those who doubt that need only consider this stark statement from the latest Congressional Budget Office assessment of Obama's proposed 2012 federal budget:

"Federal debt held by the public would double under the President's budget, growing from $10.4 trillion (69 percent of GDP) at the end of 2011 to $20.8 trillion (87 percent of GDP) at the end of 2021."

How much plainer must it be? Obama, Reid, Pelosi and their congressional Democratic troops - cheered on by liberal precincts of the Mainstream Media who print on the news that fits their agenda - are spending this nation into oblivion.
