Demolition will begin next week on Transbay Terminal ramps

Construction to take down old ramps from the Transbay Terminal will begin next Monday at Clementina Street.

Crews are in the midst of tearing down all remnants of the 71-year-old former transit depot located in The City’s SoMa District. A major part of that project will take place next week, when construction crews demolish the old ramps. Work on the Clementina ramp removal project will last from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day, Monday through Friday.

A new, $4.2 billion Transbay Transit Center will replace the old Transbay Terminal. It’s slated to be opened in 2017.
