Demi's terrible "vagina tattoo" sparks spat with artist

Hell hath no fury like a tattoo artist scorned. Especially if that scorn involves the hashtags "#RIPvaginatattoo" and "#kidsdontdodrugs."

Singer Demi Lovato sparked an ugly online spat this month by posting a picture of a new rose tattoo on her arm. The spat was almost as ugly as the tattoo the rose was covering up: misshapen lips with an uncanny resemblance to the works of Georgia O'Keeffe, hence Lovato's use of aforementioned hashtags.

"Thanks for getting the tattoo covered up I did for free that you specifically asked for," tattoo artist Ashley McMullen tweeted afterward. She accused the former child star of being drunk and urinating on a toilet seat during the session, adding, "The tattoo you covered it with kinda sucks too."

At first Lovato, 22, took the high road by responding with a string of emoticons absolutely incomprehensible to anyone born before the Clinton administration. On Thursday, though, she lashed out on Twitter.

Lovato, who has been open about her struggles with substance abuse, criticized McMullen for "admitting to the fact that you tattooed a very intoxicated 18 year old on a tour bus without the proper judgement that most legit tattoo artists have."

Lovato concluded with another string of icons that was presumably quite devastating.
