Dem dissaray on House oversight committee

Sluggish congressional oversight might seem like a good thing when your party controls the White House, but not when it’s so sluggish that you effectively put Republicans in charge of the oversight committee. Democrats in the House are learning this lesson the hard way, HuffPo reports.

It’s not just the committee Democrats’ infighting between staff, or their failure to investigate the Obama administration, but the involvement of Chairman Edolphus Towns, D-N.Y., in scandals he should be investigating. We’ve pointed this out before, but there also appears to be a consensus on the Left that ranking Republican Darrell Issa, R-Calif., has been grabbing the headlines and driving the discussion.
