Decision day for Botanical Garden, Coit Tower fee hikes

On Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors will vote on whether to impose a fee for out-of-towners to enter the 55-acre beloved Golden Gate Park Botanical Garden. It would remain free for residents. The board will also vote on whether to increase fees for no-residents who want to use the Coit Tower elevator. The fee hikes were recommended by the Recreation and Park Department to help with its budget woes.
