Deal or no deal? Drugged-up raver offers cop bad ecstasy bargain

A drugged-up raver who offered an undercover cop a bum deal on ecstasy pills — $10 each, or $20 for two — will spend 90 days in county jail for that offer.

The 22-year-old man was found guilty Wednesday on drugs sales and transportation charges as part of the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force operation.

The undercover cop from the Hayward Police Department was sold the pills on the main dance floor of the rave, prosecutors said. The dealer was high at the time, they said.

The defendant testified that he only sold the drugs to the officer because she asked him multiple times and said “something to the effect of please, we traveled a long way and are just looking to have some fun,” Wagstaffe said.

Prosecutors requested he get slapped with more jail time because he wouldn’t accept responsibility for the crime.
