David Chiu organizes crosstown trek to determine San Francisco’s fastest mode of transport

Now where have we seen this before?

Board of Supervisors president and mayoral hopeful David Chiu and five of his campaigners will be trekking across The City this morning to determine what the fastest mode of transportation is in San Francisco.

The field breaks down like this: Chiu will be riding on his intrepid bicycle, one competitor will be taking street-surface Muni, another will be taking the underground Muni, one will hop in a cab, and one more will be driving their own car.

Oh yeah, someone will also actually try and get there fastest using their own two feet. For that brave (and possibly delusional) soul, I offer a hearty good luck.

The race starts at 9 a.m., and there are rumors that one of the competitors will be donning a “Chiubacca” suit to celebrate the mayoral hopeful’s new mascot. We’ll keep you posted on the winner (if it’s the person on foot, I should get a cut of the winnings).
