Danielle Staub quits stripping, seeks Dr. Drew’s help

Danielle Staub’s stripping days are over. After photos of the 48-year-old “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum pole-dancing hit the Web, she decided to “walk away” from an appearance deal with Scores and has “sought out” Dr. Drew Pinsky’s help.

“I have addictions with love and low self-esteem, and I need help!” the mom of two teenage daughters (who, we’re guessing, will eventually need to seek psychological help themselves) tells People magazine.
She says she was “coaxed” into the deal by handlers, but admits, “I have to own my mistakes and can’t blame others.”

“My low self-esteem derived from childhood sexual abuse has messed with my mind and self-worth, and over the years I thought about getting help but pushed it deep into the depths of denial,” Danielle explains. “For years I have had the suicide hotline on my cell phone and would like nothing more than to free myself from this constant pressure. Seeing how I have hurt myself and my family this time, I can no longer push it behind me.”

Since this sounds like serious stuff, we’ll refrain from wondering why Danielle “sought out” Dr. Drew, rather than a doctor who doesn’t appear on TV. And we certainly won’t speculate that she might have staged this entire incident to prolong her 15 minutes of notoriety.

Red-Carpet Debut

This just in: Celeb couple confirmed at Cannes!

Though Rachel McAdams and Michael Sheen have been dating since fall, but they made their first public statement about their relationship when they walked the red carpet to promote their film “Midnight in Paris” arm in arm.
“Yeah, we are together,” Michael admitted to People magazine.

The pair got together after filming on the Woody Allen flick wrapped (the iconic director said of their romance that he “didn’t see it coming”).

So what does the actor see in the “Wedding Crashers” star?

“She’s talented, intelligent, beautiful. She’s warm and friendly. She’s very supportive, and very kind, very funny. She makes me laugh a lot,” Michael gushed.

You had your chance, Ryan Gosling!

On Again?

If you’ve been crying into your pillow at night since the breakup of AnnaLynne McCord and Kellan Lutz ... well, you might have some issues you need to address. But the good news is, they’re apparently back together! Maybe.

The “Twilight” actor and the “90210” star spent time together in Vancouver last month, while he was filming “Breaking Dawn.” And they were “holding hands and making out” at NYC’s Greenhouse club on May 5, an observer told In Touch magazine — adding that they are “definitely dating again.”

How can we be sure they’re not just exes with benefits? At the Maxim magazine Hot 100 party on Sunday night, “despite the fact that the room was filled with gorgeous women” and “women were flocking to him,” Kellan ignored them and hung out at the bar.

Despite that evident sign of serious commitment, however, Kellan declared to E! on Tuesday night, “I’m single.”

“I’ve been really busy, so it’s really kind of tough to be in an industry where you’re constantly flying around and moving around,” he confided. “I’m really looking forward to getting married one day and having a family. Whoever that is, if it’s someone from the past, someone in the future, I’m more than welcoming for it.”

Hmm ... wonder what Anna Lynne makes of those mixed signals?
