Daly City police are asking for the public’s help to identify an elderly woman found Tuesday who says she can’t remember her name.

At 7 p.m., officers found the woman disoriented in the 100 block of Third Avenue. The woman said she couldn’t remember her name, but thought it may be Normita Vidallo. She can’t remember any basic information about herself or her family, or if she is under medical care, police said.

Officers checked the surrounding area and nearby convalescent homes, but were unable to find anyone who knows her.

Police describe the woman as between 70 and 80 years old. She is 5 feet tall, 145 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. The woman also wears glasses, according to police.

The woman is currently being held for medical reasons at a hospital, police said.

Police are advising anyone who has information about her identity to call the Daly City Police Department at (650) 991-8119.
