Daily Outrage: Thief steals wheelchair, dog from cerebral palsy sufferer 

What: Philadelphia police are searching for the thief who stole a $3,000 motorized wheelchair and a dog belonging to a man who suffers from cerebral palsy.

How: The theft happened about 11 a.m. outside a convenience store. Warren Lloyd parked his wheelchair out front and went inside to get a sandwich. His dog, Bengie, was in a carrying case on the back of the wheelchair. In the time it took to get food and pay for it, the wheelchair was stolen.

Even worse: “That was my vehicle,” Lloyd said. “I use it every day, that’s my way of getting around. With cerebral palsy, I can’t drive. “Adding to the heartlessness, neighbors said the suspect tried to sell the dog shortly after the theft."
