Daily Outrage: High school assistant principal accused of running brothels

WHO: Gerald Courtney

WHAT: The assistant principal at San Francisco’s Galileo High School has been arrested and charged with running two brothels in San Jose.

WHY THEY’RE DOING IT: The arrests were made by San Jose police in response to tips from residents about brothels being operated in upscale neighborhoods.

WHY IT’S A BAD IDEA: No other school employees or minors were involved, according to police, but schools in The City have enough to deal with without having to worry about administrators’ criminal records.

WHERE TO VENT: Courtney is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Santa Clara County Superior Court. He is on paid leave from his position with the San Francisco Unified School District.
