Daily Outrage: Fighter dies after being injured during tourney victory 

WHO: Nathan Johnson, 23

WHAT: The former college star athlete died of a skull fracture and irreversible brain injury received while winning his second fight in an annual two-day Toughman tournament at the Oklahoma City Farmers Public Market. He was married to his pregnant fiancee while in a hospital-induced coma before dying Tuesday.

WHAT’S BEING DONE: The Oklahoma Boxing Commission, which licenses extreme fighting events, is investigating the circumstances of Johnson’s fatal injuries in a bout where he seemingly did not receive any severe head blows.
