Daily Outrage: Feds bankroll worthless Indiana park project

WHO: U.S. Department of Transportation

WHAT: Giving a federal transportation enhancement grant to pay for an estimated $260,000 park project, including the construction of a restroom facility and a V-line bus stop, in downtown Valparaiso, Ind.

WHY IT’S AN OUTRAGE: A restroom facility and a bus stop don’t seem likely to create very many jobs, and taxpayers in other states aren’t likely to enjoy the benefits of these projects anyway.

WHERE TO VENT: Call the Department of Transportation inspector general at (202) 366-1959.
