DA Harris promotes child safety laws in Sacramento 

As the California legislature discusses a law that would send child molesters to prison for life after a first offense, District Attorney Kamala Harris is in Sacramento herself to support child molestation legislation.

Harris will be in Sacramento today to promote two “key pieces of legislation vital to protecting children from predators.”

Harris is testifying today before the California Assembly Public Safety Committee in support of the 2010 Child Cyber Safety Act, which one professor thinks could be unconstitutional, and a law that would strengthen the current human trafficking statute.
