A burglar ignored the electronics and instead swiped a 12-week-old puppy from a San Francisco home on Saturday, the pet’s owner told police.

Police were called to the unit block of Blythdale Avenue in San Francisco’s Sunnydale neighborhood around 5:30 p.m.

A woman said she left the front door to her home slightly ajar, but not far enough that her puppy could get out. She later discovered the puppy was gone, police said.

A witness told her she saw a possible suspect carrying a puppy that looked similar to hers. Police are investigating.
