'Criminal Minds' comes to S.F. tonight

San Francisco will hit the small screen tonight in the latest episode of CBS’ "Criminal Minds."

For those not familiar with it, the show is about the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit, a team charged with analyzing the country’s most twisted criminal minds and anticipating where they might strike next.

In tonight’s episode, scheduled to air at 9 on KPIX (Ch. 5), the team will travel to San Francisco to investigate the murders of several homeless men. The episode stars academy winner Forest Whitaker, who convinces the team to investigate a missing father and daughter (you can see a preview here).

The episode, shot in San Francisco, was a homecoming for "Criminal Minds" star Shemar Moore, who was born in Oakland.
