Security guard stabbed in foot at club; one arrested

A nightclub security guard was slashed in his foot early Tuesday morning by a rowdy customer in the Excelsior neighborhood, police Officer Albie Esparza said.

A 27-year-old San Francisco  man was reportedly becoming belligerent at the club in the 4700 block of Mission Street just after midnight, Esparza said. The man’s friends tried to calm him down, to no avail.

The 62-year-old guard had stepped in to help subdue the man when they fell to the ground, and at some point during the melee, the guard was slashed in the foot, Esparza said.

The guard was ultimately able to subdue and detain the man until police arrived. Marco Tulio Samayoa-Corado was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, Esparza said.
