Crime Blotter: Armed man shoots man in the arm

A man was shot in the arm in the Western Addition on Wednesday, police said.

The 23-year-old victim was walking in the 800 block of McAllister Street about 9:15 p.m. when he heard gunshots, police said. He then realized he’d been shot in the arm.

A family member drove him to the hospital for treatment of his injury, which was not life-threatening, police said.
There were no known suspects as of Thursday.


Slash attack blamed on attempt to cash in debt

A man was stabbed in the chest over a debt near the Cow Hollow neighborhood Wednesday, police said.

The 39-year-old victim was driving near the intersection of Franklin and Vallejo streets about 11:25 p.m. when he saw the 42-year-old suspect walking on the sidewalk, police said.

The victim got out of his car and confronted the suspect over a debt he apparently owed the victim, police said. The alleged debtor stabbed the victim in the chest and fled. He was later arrested, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital, but his injury was not life-threatening.
