Crack-smoking paraphernalia easy to buy in Detroit stores

WHAT: Crack cocaine pipes are allegedly on sale at neighborhood stores throughout the Detroit area, most commonly at dollar stores, gas stations and liquor stores.

HOW: The little $5 glass pipes are either kept under the counter, or they are in plain view disguised as ballpoint pens or mini vases.

WHAT’S BEING DONE: If caught, store owners are given a ticket and found guilty, which does little to discourage them from selling the lucrative product line.
