Cops on hunt for Riverside County man after wife found dead in San Francisco hotel 

UPDATE 10:30 a.m.: San Francisco police have confirmed that the woman found dead in a Lombard Street hotel room Thursday is that of Riverside County resident Colleen Waterman.

Police are hunting a Riverside County man after his wife was found dead in a Lombard Street hotel room on Thursday.

Authorities conducted a massive search of the cliffs and waters at Devil’s Slide in San Mateo County on Thursday night for Billy Waterman, 51, of Palm Desert, whose car was parked and abandoned on Highway 1.

Waterman and his wife, Colleen Waterman, 47, were reported missing by their daughter on Monday, according to authorities and several news reports.

The manhunt for Billy Waterman began after a maid found Colleen Waterman's body in a hotel room.

Sheriff’s deputies found Waterman’s car at Devil’s slide about a half hour before the woman’s body was discovered. Sheriff’s personnel launched a five-hour search that ended around 11 p.m. He wasn’t found.

Billy Waterman is described as a white male, 6-feet-tall, weighing 160 pounds, with blue eyes and red or balding hair, police said.
