Convicted murderer’s hearing delayed due to crime lab scandal 

A federal court hearing was delayed until June 15 in the case of convicted murderer and former gang member Dennis Cyrus. Judge Maxine Chesney postponed the hearing after prosecutors and defense attorneys said they may be reaching an agreement on a bid by Cyrus’ attorneys for evidence about San Francisco’s drug-testing lab after problems arose with work done by retired criminalist Deborah Madden.
