Controller: Budget cuts keeping city on track

There is some good news in all of the bad news with the city budget. The Controller released a six month update of the city’s current fiscal picture showing a balanced budget – this year.

That’s not to say that revenues are on the rise; on the contrary, according to the report.  What helped get The City back on track is the $45 million, mid-year budget cuts that the Board of Supervisors approved Feb.3.

“That plan is taking hold and the city budget is balanced in the current fiscal year,” said City Controller Ben Rosenfield. “It’s what we expected to happen.”
