Congress passes bill aimed at helping small businesses

Small businesses got some more good news from Washington. Congress passed a bill extending loan assistance for struggling small businesses through the end of April.

Congress voted to extend the 90 percent guarantee on small business loans, which is meant to spur lending.

Scott Hague, president of Small Business California, said this will be good “stop gap measure,” for businesses, but what is really needed is another extension of these recovery measures through the end of the year.
