Community meetings scheduled to discuss McLaren Park facelift

All the disc golfers, bicyclists and people in the southeast community have the chance to tell Rec and Park why the second-largest park in The City needs a makeover.

McLaren Park is on Rec and Park’s list of open spaces that need facelifts, but the department wants to apply for a grant to fix it up because it isn’t one of the 13 parks benefiting from a $185 million neighborhood parks bond.

So they’ve set up three community meetings to come up with ideas for making that money.

Here they are:

Tuesday, January 26, 2010. 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Louis Sutter Playground Roundhouse
Tuesday, March 23, 2010. 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Crocker Amazon Playground Clubhouse
Wednesday, May 19, 2010. 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Louis Sutter Playground Roundhouse
