Coming to the rescue for Rocket Dog

Friends and performers will gather for a night of comedy and music on Friday to help raise funds for Rocket Dog Rescue and its founder, Pali Boucher, who lost her home and three beloved foster dogs in a house fire Dec. 21. Liam Maycelm will emcee the evening, which will feature stand-up from Johnny Steele and Marga Gomez, and music from Red Meat, Parker Brothers, Josh Klipp and the Freeplay Dance Troupe and Caroline Lund.

Rocket Dog Rescue is a Bay Area dog rescue organization run by volunteers. They save dogs from being put down at over-crowded shelters and find them loving homes. Now into their sixth year, RDR has saved the lives of more than 1,900 animals.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance or at the door that evening. For more information, visit www.slims-sf.com or call (415) 255-0333.
