Clear, pleasant forecast for S.F.'s Turkey Day

The usual Thanksgiving assortments of turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce should be complimented by a nice helping of pleasant weather in The City on Thursday.

The sun will be out and temperatures are expected to hover in the low to mid-60s on Thursday, according to Ryan Walbrun of the National Weather Service. Clouds are forecast to creep into San Francisco sometime during Thursday evening, and there is a slight chance of some light drizzle during the early morning hours on Friday, but any precipitation is expected to be short-lived, Walbrun said.

On Black Friday, the busiest shopping day of the year, San Francisco gift-buyers will be treated to partly cloudy skies, with temperatures in the low-60s in The City.

The clouds are predicted to clear up for the weekend, which is shaping up to be particularly nice. Warm offshore winds will boost temperatures into the upper 60s and clear skies are expected to be the norm for Saturday and Sunday, according to Walbrun.

“It’s going to be a real comfortable holiday weekend,” said Walbrun.
