City to decide on more help for Ogden Terrace wall

A Bernal Heights community garden has been waiting for months for The City to accept a donation that would repair its creosote-soaked retaining wall.

In December, Rec and Park officials recommended the Board of Supervisors approve a second $88,000 gift from the San Francisco Conservation Corps to renovate the Ogden Terrace Community Garden. The first gift only took care of a portion of the work.

Then the board earlier this month sent it to the City Operations and Neighborhood Services Committee for another recommendation, which is on today’s 10:30 a.m. agenda.

It has to go through the motions because it’s one of more than 1,000 community gardens owned by The City.

Shall this resolution finally be approved? That’ll have to be answered at another Board of Supervisors meeting.
