School board meetings may be added to SFTV

A public hearing about broadcasting San Francisco's school board meetings will be held at the Board of Supervisors Government Audit and Oversight Committee meeting on Monday.

Proposed by Supervisor Tom Ammiano, a former teacher and school board member, the hearing would look into the feasibility of including the meetings on The City's government television network, SFTV, which can be watched online.

Fire Department

Free emergency response training for public

This month, four different San Francisco areas will be holding free Neighborhood Emergency Response Team training, sponsored by the Fire Department.

The 20-hour training consists of six class sessions that teach participants hands-on disaster skills. This month, trainings begin in Russian Hill, Pacific Heights, Visitacion Valley and Fisherman's Wharf.

Additional classes begin in other parts of The City in June.

Memorial service for sergeant killed in training

A memorial service for San Francisco Police Sgt. Darryl Tsujimoto will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium at 99 Grove St., San Francisco, near Polk Street.

Tsujimoto, who headed the department's canine unit, died during a training exercise on Treasure Island on Monday.

Grove Street between Polk and Larkin streets will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 9:30 a.m. until about 2 p.m.
