City business leaders travel to Washington

More than two dozen business leaders from San Francisco are traveling to the nation’s capital to advocate for federal dollars to help create jobs and expedite economic recovery.

During the four-day CityTrip 2010 hosted by the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce, the delegation will meet with key California and Bay Area lawmakers including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, U.S. Sens. Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer, and U.S. Rep. Jackie Speier, D-Hillsborough.

There they will discuss issues such as transportation and economic development, both of which are critical to San Francisco’s economy, according to the Chamber of Commerce.
