Christina Aguilera’s year has been ‘life-uprooting’

Is Christina Aguilera in denial or just going through a tough time? Though insiders are reportedly worried the singer is stuck in a downward spiral, and have allegedly urged her to seek help, the “Burlesque” star seems to have a philosophical attitude toward her recent ups and downs (well, mostly downs).

“In light of the past year, there have been obvious setbacks,” the former Mrs. Jordan Bratman told Us magazine. “I’ve gone through a really hard divorce, and anyone who has gone through a divorce will speak about how hard the journey is from start to finish.”

(By the way, new beau Matthew Rutler had unofficially moved into her Beverly Hills mansion before the ink was dry on her divorce papers.)

“It’s a life-uprooting time and there have been hiccups along the way that unfortunately the whole world gets to witness and judge,” Xtina said. “I can laugh about my own hiccups and my own experiences in life because I’m getting through it.”

What hiccups was she referring to? Maybe her recent arrest on public intoxication charges, or when she flubbed the lyrics to the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, or possibly the time she allegedly crashed actor Jeremy Renner’s birthday party and passed out in his bed.

None of those experiences are exactly laughing matters.

Olivia: Badgering Fans

As Scoop! told you Tuesday, Olivia Wilde and Justin Timberlake went out together Saturday night on what looked to all observers like a date. The pair arrived together at Hollywood hot spot Roxbury and were reportedly seen cozying up to each other and getting close on the dance floor before leaving at 3 a.m.

But after the news broke, the “House” actress tweeted insisting it was all innocent.

“Cool it, honeybadgers,” she told fans via Twitter. “We are just friends and have been for years.”

First of all, what are honeybadgers? Second, OK, fine, Olivia and J.T. co-starred in “Alpha Dog” back in 2006. But if they’ve really been best buds all this time, why is this the first time they’ve been seen clubbing together?

Just wondering.

Cake Complaint

Forget those whispers that Katie Holmes is under Tom Cruise’s thumb. The person who’s really controlling the actress is her daughter, Suri.

Though many working moms would celebrate a 5-year-old girl’s birthday with, say, a few Dora the Explorer balloons, the “Kennedys” star has carved out an entire month to fete her little princess.

“I like to dedicate April to her birthday,” Katie told Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night. “She really helps plan her party, because I want her to be happy. We make lists and we have meetings.” (Meetings?!?!)

And yet even after all that planning, Suri, who turns 5 this month, isn’t always satisfied.

“There have been times where I’ve done it all and she says, ‘This isn’t the cake,’” Katie said.

Wow. If the kid is already that much of a diva at 5, we shudder to think how Katie will suffer planning Suri’s Sweet 16.
