Chief info officer part of proposed revamp 

Board of Supervisors President David Chiu is looking to streamline The City’s information systems, and on Tuesday he will introduce an ordinance that creates a chief information officer.

The proposal also alters the responsibilities of the Department of Technology and the Committee on Information Technology, which came under fire in the wake of a city employee locking others out of San Francisco’s computer  network.
