Charlie Sheen spending lots of time in legal system

Charlie Sheen’s legal team is — not surprisingly — working overtime.

As the actor and his attorneys vied with his ex-wife Brooke Mueller, reportedly back in rehab, for full custody of his 2-year-old twin sons, they also were set to battle his former employers over his "Two and a Half Men" contract.

On Tuesday morning, both former spouses appeared at a Los Angeles courthouse where, according to TMZ, a judge ruled that their joint-custody arrangement should remain unchanged.

In an unrelated case, the actor is seeking damages and unpaid wages in a lawsuit, filed in March, against production company Warner Bros. and show creator Chuck Lorre. Charlie claims they trumped up reasons to fire him in order "to make him their scapegoat despite the fact that Mr. Sheen was sober, and was ready, willing and able to perform." (Never mind that he had called Lorre a troll and challenged him to a fight.)

Meanwhile, with Brooke allegedly in treatment and Charlie on his "Torpedo of Truth" tour, another ex-wife, Denise Richards, has offered to take temporary custody of the twin boys, TMZ reported. The mom of daughters Sam and Lola is allegedly willing to baby-sit Bob and Max until things settle down for their parents.

"I’ll keep you posted," Charlie allegedly said.

And we, in turn, will keep you posted.

Say Cheese

It appears LeAnn Rimes was serious about ending her Twitter feud with Brandi Glanville, her fiance’s ex-wife. The country singer and the former Mrs. Eddie Cibrian seemed positively civil at a birthday party for Eddie and Brandi’s son Jake.

Last weekend, the two blondes were even sitting next to each other at the Chuck E. Cheese where the 8-year-old boy’s bash was held.

Think they were for real, or putting on an act for the cameras?

Punchy Paz

Actress Paz de la Huerta was charged with third-degree assault Tuesday, among other infractions, after allegedly attacking reality TV star Samantha Swetra of "The City."

The "Boardwalk Empire" star is alleged to have stumbled and fallen — creating a wardrobe malfunction — around 3 a.m. at a NYC nightclub last month. According to the New York Daily News, Samantha, seated at a nearby table with pals — including Lindsay Lohan — said, jokingly, "Triple axel!" That’s when Paz reportedly became enraged, punched her in the face and threw a glass at her leg.

"Blood was dripping down [Samantha’s] leg," a source said. "Lindsay was pulling shards of glass off of it."

Prosecutors said after being arrested, Paz told cops, "I’m a real actress, HBO. She’s a publicity seeker, a fake actress."

Paz will return to court in mid-May. And let’s just hope LiLo doesn’t get called to the stand as a witness. The girl spends enough time in courtrooms!

Bi the Way ...

Evan Rachel Wood told Esquire magazine she dates both men and women.

"I grew up in love with David Bowie," the "True Blood" star said. "So I was always into very androgynous things. Guys, girls ... I’m into androgyny in general.

"I’m up for anything. Meet a nice guy, meet a nice girl."

Are we supposed to be surprised that she’s attracted to both sexes? Hello, she dated a dude who calls himself Marilyn Manson.
