Charlie Sheen loses TV battle with Warner Brothers

In case you didn’t get the memo, Charlie Sheen is a big proponent of winning. But Monday, the troubled actor was losing in a big way — namely, his job.

The future of “Two and a Half Men,” which halted production after Charlie made disparaging remarks about the show’s creator, is still up in the air, but one thing’s for sure: If it returns next season, he won’t be a part of it.

“After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on ‘Two and a Half Men,’ effective immediately,” the production company said in a statement Monday. (We’re guessing John Stamos immediately placed a call to his agent.)

In a letter to Charlie’s lawyer obtained by TMZ, the production company explains the termination by charging “that Mr. Sheen has committed felony offenses involving moral turpitude (including but not limited to furnishing of cocaine to others as part of the self-destructive lifestyle he has described publicly) that have ‘interfere[d] with his ability to fully and completely render all material services required’ under [his contract].”

We’re no legal experts, but we’re pretty sure that translates to “He’s a train wreck, so we fired him.”

Lovato talks about dark times

Demi Lovato is speaking out to her fans for the first time since leaving rehab. The Disney starlet was pulled from the Jonas Brothers tour in November and entered treatment for emotional issues after allegedly sucker-punching a backup dancer.

Calling her recent troubles “probably the darkest time in my life,” the “Sonny With a Chance” star effused to supporters, “I wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for you. Your support is what got me through this.”

Demi, whose struggles were rumored to involve an eating disorder and the self-destructive habit of cutting, explained only that “I was dealing with issues that I know not only girls just my age but girls of all ages are dealing with.” She added, “I hope to one day raise awareness of everything so that I can help people just like you guys helped me through this rough time.”

She confided, “The journey has been very, very difficult,” but struck an upbeat note, saying, “I am excited to get back to work. I can’t wait to tell you guys what the future holds.”

We assume she’s talking about upcoming projects — but we’re more curious to know what the future holds for Demi and rumored beau Wilmer Valderrama. An 18-year-old struggling with emotional issues and a 31-year-old Hollywood scenester doesn’t strike us as the best combination, but we’ll keep an open mind.

Bieb-y love

Now that the cat’s out of the bag about Justin Bieber’s romance with Selena Gomez, the tween heartthrob is publicly gushing about his gal pal.

Over the weekend, the “Baby” singer tweeted to the “Wizards of Waverly Place” star from Europe, where he’s touring: “I miss you.”

And he’s not shy about telling the world why Selena has won his heart.

“She’s hot,” the Biebs declared to a British magazine. “Of course every guy likes the girl to be hot, which Selena is. But I like to mess around and pull jokes on people, so I like to be around people who make me laugh and share my sense of humor. That’s Selena for sure.”

The teen couple were snapped on vacation together months ago, but it wasn’t until an Oscars after-party last month that they were publicly photographed together being affectionate.

Justin concludes, “She is a really great person and I think she has the best smile in the world.” Awwww.
