Chamber of Commerce pushes for flexible work schedules

Employers should provide flexible work schedules for their employees, allowing them to work fewer, but longer days, according to the California Chamber of Commerce.

The chamber is sponsoring a bill that would allow employers to make it easier to give flex work schedules to their workers. Senate Bill 1335 will be considered by a Senate committee on April 14.

The bill establishes a voluntary, employee-driven, process where workers can request for flexible work schedules. The chamber argues that flex work schedules make employees more productive, satisfied and efficient.
