Don’t miss the final days of the 81st annual San Mateo County Fair, which kicked off the summer season last weekend with musical performances and attractions featuring butterflies, reptiles and trout.

The fair for adults and families continues into the weekend at the San Mateo County Event Center with free concerts from The Charlie Daniels Band, a Rolling Stones tribute band, Sheila E. and Dia de la Feria.

Throughout the day, expect a variety of festival-themed foods ranging from “Alligator on a Stick” to “Fried Kool Aid,” organizers say. But fear not, health-food lovers, there will be plenty of choices beyond funnel cakes and tacos.

There will also be pig races, do-it-yourself activities like 3-D printers and a stage for your children to act like they’re starring in a performance. Fair tickets start at $8 per person, while season passes start at $25.

The fair ends Sunday. For more information, visit
