Cantor announces House will remain open this weekend 

With time running out to raise the debt limit before Aug. 2, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., has announced he'll be keeping the House of Representatives open over the weekend.

"Members are advised that the House will now be in session on Saturday, July 30, and Sunday, July 31," read an emailed statement from Cantor's office. "First votes on both days are not expected prior to 1:00 p.m.  More information regarding the exact schedule will be released as soon as it is available."
