Caltrain repairs to continue at Burlingame station

Continued construction work this weekend at Caltrain’s Burlingame station will close a nearby road and force minor boarding area changes for passengers.

Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday and continuing through 5 a.m. Monday, Caltrain will be single-tracking trains through the Burlingame station as construction crews repair the northbound main track. Both northbound and southbound passengers will board from the southbound platform.

North Lane will be closed at the railroad tracks during the construction and traffic will be detoured at Howard Avenue.

No delays in Caltrain service are expected, but residents in the area may hear some construction noise.

The repairs are part of a $20.5 million project to add track capacity, as well as improve safety and accessibility at the station. The repairs are expected to be completed next year.
