Caltrain IDs person killed on tracks

The San Mateo County coroner's office Tuesday morning identified a pedestrian who was hit and killed on Caltrain tracks Monday evening as Redwood City resident Charles Fulk.

Fulk, 52, was struck by southbound Caltrain No. 266 near the Hayward Park Station at about 5:15 p.m.

None of the train's passengers were injured, but trains were delayed by up to an hour afterward, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.

The southbound tracks were reopened by about 7 p.m., at which time trains were operating in both directions at full speed.

The death remains under investigation.
