Cache Creek lines up memorable slate of spring concerts

Attention, Bay Area gamers: As the spring season is under way and summer quickly approaches, there is no better way to spend your weekend than making a trip up north for some gambling and music entertainment.

Cache Creek Casino Resort in Brooks is 80 miles from the Bay Area and one of Northern California’s largest casino-resort destinations.

The casino has a 415,000-square-foot property and features 2,300 slot machines, 120 table games, a poker room, a four-diamond hotel and nine restaurants.

You impressed yet? All summer, Cache Creek is offering some excellent musical entertainment with top-name performers in its indoor showrooms.

Also this summer, guests can enjoy the casino’s performers under the stars in its new outdoor Summer Stage Concert Series. Tickets are available online.

“We’ve been offering high-quality entertainment for our guests since the doors opened to our resort in 2004,” Cache Creek Vice President of Marketing Mike Leonard said. “We’ve had a popular 1,800-seat events center, and have continued to provide stage acts weekly in our 700-seat Club 88. Now, the Summer Stage will allow us to bring in even bigger-name acts for our guests. And we will be able to accommodate a larger viewing audience.”

The new 3,000-seat outdoor amphitheater features raised seating in an intimate, theater-style configuration, ensuring excellent sightlines and sound quality for all concertgoers. Plus, audiences will enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding Capay Valley.

The first show scheduled for the new stage is rock icon John Fogerty on May 21.

Other concerts scheduled in the series include Jamie Foxx on May 28, Thai superstar Takatan Cholada on May 29, Smokey Robinson on June 4, “As 1 World Tour” with Gary Valenciano and Martin Nievera on June 11 and “Paris by Night” — the most popular Vietnamese show in the world — on June 25.

Motown superstars The Temptations with the Chi-Lites and The New Stylistics will perform on July 2, and George Benson with DMS featuring George Duke, Marcus Miller and David Sanborn will take the stage on Aug. 27.

Additional shows will be announced later this spring.

“This is an exciting announcement for both Cache Creek Casino Resort and its owners, the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation,” General Manager Randy Takemoto said. “In addition, a portion of the Summer Stage Concert Series proceeds will be contributed to support music programming for our local students. The Summer Stage is a fantastic new amenity we are offering to our guests and to our community. We are thrilled to see the types of superstar entertainment that we can now provide with the opening of this new venue.”
