Business briefs: Easy Bake Oven recall 

The iconic toy, Easy Bake Oven, which has a four-decade history, has been recalled for the second time in less than a year due to reports of children getting their hands and fingers caught in the ovens and suffering injuries including severe burns and one partial amputation. While Hasbro Inc. (HAS) issued a repair kit in February, it is now recalling all front-loading ovens sold since May 2006.


Robotic systems could be the wave of the future for dairy farmers and help keep small operators in business. The systems, which work best with small herds, milk cows and track animals’ data, allowing each cow to choose its own milking schedule and freeing time for farmers. Robotic milkers, which cost about $180,000, have been popular in Europe and Canada for about 10 years.
