Business briefs: Campbell and Godiva Chocolatier 

Campbell Soup Co. (CPB) is putting Godiva Chocolatier up for sale, saying its decadent Belgian chocolate does not fit with the company’s focus on healthy, down-home foods. Camden-based Campbell has owned Godiva for more than 40 years, but says it has never fit squarely into any of its main business units. Godiva’s annual sales have been around $500 million.

JOHNSON & JOHNSON

The health-products giant that uses a red cross as its trademark has sued the American Red Cross, demanding that the charity halt the use of the red cross symbol on products it sells. Johnson & Johnson said it has had exclusive rights to use the trademark on certain commercial products — including bandages and first-aid cream — for more than 100 years.
