Bullet enters occupied Western Addition home

A bullet from a shooting in the Western Addition entered an occupied home for a second time in less than a month on Sunday.

Sunday's shooting occurred in the 1800 block of Eddy Street about 9:15 p.m., police said.

An unknown gunman fired off several shots before reportedly fleeing in a black sedan.

A round passed through a window and lodged in a wall of a residence occupied by a 41-year-old man, police said.

No injuries were reported and no suspect description was available.

A similar incident occurred May 22 only a few blocks away. Bullets from a shooting that went through the wall of an apartment near McAllister and Divisadero streets shattered a glass cabinet and embedded itself in a book.

The resident was not injured, but a 26-year-old woman who was walking on the street was struck in the torso, police said. Her injuries were not life threatening.

No arrests have been reported in either shooting, police said.
