Brutish thugs storm home, terrify woman before fleeing with cash

A 69-year-old woman was choked during a terrifying home invasion robbery near Candlestick Park on Monday, police said.

Two men in their 20s stormed the home in the 1000 block of Hollister Avenue around 8:30 a.m., kicking in the garage door and then the door to the woman’s bedroom, police said Tuesday.

One of the suspects put a hand over the woman’s mouth and the other hand on her throat, choking her, police said. He demanded money and the woman complied. They fled the house with an unspecified amount of cash, police said.

Luckily, she was not seriously injured in the attack. A 43-year-old woman and 4-year-old boy were also in the home at the time of the robbery, but were not injured, police said.

As of Tuesday, there were no arrests, police said.

Suspect descriptions were not immediately available.
