Britney, K-Fed OK divorce settlement

So much for those reconciliation rumors. Britney Spears and Kevin Federline have signed a divorce agreement "which was a global settlement on all issues of their marriage and child custody," his camp confirmed Friday.

Though terms were not disclosed, Web site TMZ’s sources say that the FedEx will score $1 million and share joint custody of sons Sean Preston and Jayden James. Reuters, however, cites an insider who disputes that dollar amount but refuses to correct it on record.

The settlement was hashed out over the course of a five-hour negotiation between the estranged couple and their lawyers Thursday.

Despite their high-powered legal representation, the recently rehabbed pop star and the self-proclaimed rapper reportedly reached a breakthrough on their own. When Kevin headed outside for a smoke break, Britney joined him for a 15-minute private powwow that led to a (relatively) rapid resolution.

Would it be wrong to say congratulations are in order?

Paris Behind Bars?

Could Paris Hilton be headed for prison?

A judge decreed that the heiress will find out at an April 17 hearing whether she faces jail time for driving with a suspended license in February, a possible violation of her probation.

Although Paris’ long-suffering spokesman claims she didn’t realize her license was suspended at the time, a rep for the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office insists that "we are confident that we have sufficient evidence to prove that her license was suspended and that she had knowledge of it at the time."

The "Simple Life" star could be sentenced to 90 days if the judge decides that she indeed violated the terms of her three-year probation, instituted following a DUI charge.

Hey, this could all have been avoided very easily — it’s not like she can’t afford a chauffeur.

Hilary: ‘No Bad Blood’

Pop princess Hilary Duff has spoken out to set the record straight about her new album. The "Dignity" singer insists that counter to widespread speculation, the scathing lyrics on her new track "Gypsy Woman" are not about her ex, Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden, and his new girlfriend, Nicole Richie.

"My sister Haylie and I wrote ‘Gypsy Woman’ about a woman who had a relationship with my father and broke up a big part of my family," Hilary insists to Teenpeople.com. "There is no song on the record about Joel and Nicole. I don’t know Nicole Richie. I’ve never met her before. But she seems like a nice person. There’s no bad blood there. I hope that they are happy together."

As for her own romantic life since the November breakup, the "Material Girls" star has barely dipped her toe into those waters.

"I have been on a couple of dates. And it’s just strange for me," Hilary confesses. "I’ve never really dated before. But it’s just nice to be independent. ... If I meet someone, that’s cool, but I just don’t want to rush into things again." Pretty wise for a 19-year-old.

Kate’s Pap Flap

Britain’s Prince William and his girlfriend, Kate Middleton, haven’t announced any plans to wed — but Kate is already facing the same paparazzi frenzy as a member of the royal family. The 25-year-old beauty lodged a formal complaint against the U.K.’s "Daily Mirror" for printing a photo of her that she said was "obtained as a result of harassment."

The tabloid had published a shot of a grim-faced Kate with captions suggesting she was about to have a row with Wills (over, ironically, tabloid photos — which showed the heir mingling with women in nightclubs).

The "Mirror" issued an apology to Kate, saying the photo "was taken by a freelance photographer in circumstances where we were later told she felt harassed. We got it wrong and we sincerely regret that."

Here’s an idea: Just leave the poor girl alone!
