Bright Bulb: Government handles hurricane right, so far 

As Hurricane Gustav begins hammering New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, we laud what has — so far — been a strong and effective effort by all levels of emergency responders. Nothing in U.S. history can compare to this timely evacuation of nearly 2 million people. At least we seem to have learned something from the shameful breakdown of relief for Hurricane Katrina victims three years ago. Gustav is cooperating by not being quite as destructive as feared. We’re keeping our fingers crossed.
