Board committee approves grant to renovate Dolores Park playground 

For all you parents out there, here is a piece of good news. The playground at Dolores Park will likely be renovated.

On Wednesday, city supervisors approved a $1.5 million grant from the Friends of Dolores Park Playground and the Mercer Fund for the revitalization project.

The grant will now go to the full board for approval on Tuesday.

The project will be done in phases, allowing kids to access the play area throughout the renovation, according to the parks department.
